The Bin Chicken mural project had embedded learning and inclusion opportunities for community participants. Strategic delivery included structured safety, design and painting workshops through partner Art Club with participation generated in a call-out to community groups. Outcomes for 24 direct and many more casual participants were 1) learning about the design and production of a public mural through a structured learning program and 2) direct painting of the mural.
Funded through Create NSW and Dubbo Regional Council, with support from ArtClubDub, the Anderson Family and local participants. The story of our iconic Bin Chicken is as a successful inhabitant of both the urban and natural landscapes. A bit of town and country if you like, a laconic character in our midst.
